Guided Imagery, as used in this product, is audio recordings on CD that help you relax and then suggest you picture and imagine a peaceful safe place. You are then taught how you can use images, your personal faith and aromas to change how you view stressful situations. As a result, you may reduce your stress levels as you feel restored and whole, build your courage, feel your spirits lifted, regain your self-esteem and find peace of mind.

The Tranquilities Series consists of five CDs and five aromatherapy blends, each dealing with a typical emotion found when experiencing stress from a life challenge. Each aromatherapy blend corresponds to a particular audio CD. You smell the aromatherapy blends during the imagery, and can use them anytime as a reminder of positive thoughts.
Each CD consists of gentle soothing music, realistic digitally recorded environmental sounds and the voices of Rev. Donna Shenk, a hospital chaplain and Robert Miller, a naturopathic health consultant. The male and female voices help you to relax, and then gently guide you in creating images in your mind that will teach you new patterns of thinking about your stressful situation.
The Tranquilities Series offers you the option of incorporating your personal faith and feeling God's presence if you would find this beneficial. If you prefer not to use this, a second track on the CD omits these references.

The Tranquilities Series is easy to use. Patients can use this in the privacy of their own home. They simply find a quiet time and place, and close their eyes as they listen to the CD recordings (approximately 20 minutes each), allowing the music, aromas, and gentle voices to provide them with the emotional and spiritual support they may need at this time.
